How can we help?
Question tree: Create the 2.-6. question-level & conditionalities
There now are 5 further question levels - that is, questions, possible answers, and conditionalities.
Question level 2: Surface
Topic
Select the Icon URL and Page Title.

Choice
Select the type Cards and set the Question Title.

Answers
Create the 4 possible answers and name an image URL.

Question level 3-5: Coverage
Next, questions about the coverage are asked. Since not everyone has the same prior knowledge, it is first asked whether the user is familiar with opacity to be able to play out the following questions in a differentiated manner appropriate to the individual knowledge. Depending on which answer they choose, they will be directed in a different direction along the question tree. If they are familiar with the topic, the specific classes of opacity are then queried. If they are not familiar with it, they will first be asked which surface the paint should be applied to in order to be able to suggest the correct coverage at the end. To illustrate this logic, we will later use Conditionals.
Question level 3: Coverage 1
Topic
Select the Icon URL and Page Title.

Choice
Select the Choice-Type Buttons and the Question Title.

Answers
Set the button answers to YES and NO.

Question level 4: Coverage 2
Topic
The coverage classes (question level 4) should only be queried if YES was selected in the previous question.
The conditionals are used for this. After the elaboration of the choice and the answers, the conditionals will be explained.
Select the Icon-URL and Page Title.

Choice
Select the Choice-Type Slider and the Question Title.

Answers
Set the slider answers as illustrated:
- Class 1: <95%
- Class 2: 95%
- Class 3: 98%
- Class 4: at least 99.5%

Conditionals / Conditionalities:
The conditionalities allow certain PAGES or question levels to only be displayed if a certain answer or certain answers have been selected in the question levels beforehand.
In this case, we should only be asked for the specific coverage classes, if previously for the question Do you know about opacity? the answer YES was selected. Click ACCEPT to save the conditionalities.

Question level 5: Coverage 3
Topic
The question of whether there is a light or dark background (question level 5) should only be asked if NO was selected in the previous question.
The conditionals are used for this. After the elaboration of the choice and the answers, the conditionals will be explained.
Select the Icon URL and Page Title.

Choice

Answers

The conditionalities allow certain PAGES or question levels to only be displayed if a certain answer or certain answers have been selected in the question levels beforehand.
In this case we want the question On which surface should the paint be applied? to only be queried if the previous question Do you know about opacity? was answered with NO. Click ACCEPT to save the conditionalities.

Save your entries in between by clicking on the save button.
You can view the questionnaire you have created by clicking the button SHOW PREVIEW.

If you now display the preview of the question tree and click through the question levels, you will see that after the last question level no product is recommended to you yet.
In the next step, we recommend checking the order of the question levels again. Then you define the incompatibilities. Incompatibilities make it possible to identify answers or answer groups that are incompatible with one another. This allows the question tree to be controlled in more detail than via conditionalities. After that, the product information is imported.

Correct order of the question levels
After you have created the levels, the questionnaire should look like the illustration. The order of the questions from top (question level 1) to bottom (question level 2) determines the order in which they are displayed to the user.
You can edit the order using the arrows on the right.
