How can we help?
Question tree: 2nd-6th Create question level & conditions
There are now 5 more question levels - ie questions, answer options and conditions (conditions; ie answers that lead the user to a specific follow-up question) - formed.

Question level 3-5: Coverage
Next are questions about opacity. Since not everyone has the same previous knowledge, the user is first asked whether he or she is familiar with opacity, so that the following questions can be differentiated according to individual knowledge. Depending on which answer he chooses, he is guided in a different direction along the question tree. If he is familiar with the topic, the specific opacity classes are then queried. If he is not familiar with it, he will first be asked which surface the paint should be applied to, so that the right opacity can be suggested at the end. To map this logic, we will later use the Conditionals.

Question level 4: Coverage 2

The coverage classes (question level 4) should only be queried if YES was selected in the previous question.
The conditionals are used for this. After the elaboration of the choice and the answers, the conditionals will be explained.

- Class 4: at least 99.5%

Conditions:
The conditionals allow certain PAGES or question levels are only displayed if a specific answer or specific answers have been previously selected in the question levels. These are therefore answers whose selection by the user Condition to display a follow-up question. When we talk about conditionals in Getting Started, we always mean the conditions that can be configured in the digitizer, i.e. conditions.
In this example, the concrete opacity classes should only be queried if before the question Do you know about opacity? the answer YES was selected. Click ACCEPT click save the conditionals.

Question level 5: Coverage 3
The question of whether the background is lighter or darker (question level no. 5) should only be asked if NO was selected for the previous question. So if the user is unfamiliar with the opacity classes, they are asked a simpler follow-up question.
For this branch in the questionnaire, the conditionals are used again as follows:

Save your entries in between by clicking on the save button.
You can view the questionnaire you have created by clicking the button SHOW PREVIEW.

If you now display the preview of the question tree and click through the question levels, you will see that after the last question level no product is recommended to you yet.
In the next step, we recommend checking the order of the question levels again. After that, specify incompatibilities. Incompatibilities make it possible to identify answers or groups of answers that are not compatible with each other. This allows the question tree to be controlled in even more detail than with conditionals. Then import the product information.

Correct order of the question levels
After you have created the levels, the questionnaire should look like the illustration. The order of the questions from top (question level 1) to bottom (question level 2) determines the order in which they are displayed to the user.
You can edit the order using the arrows on the right.
